NextBid

How NextBid works

Trust · what you can rely on, and how to check it

NextBid is an independent company, not a government agency. We collect public procurement notices from multiple public procurement sites, keep one clean record for each opportunity, and, when source documents are available, read and structure those documents for people, software and AI agents.

NextBid collects and normalizes public procurement data across our source network, then publishes that data to the NextBid Data service for API and MCP access. Customer requests never query our collection systems directly.

Every fact we show falls into one of three layers, and we keep them apart so you can always tell which is which.

Agency factWhat the issuing agency published: title, agency, deadline, set-aside designation, documents.
NextBid normalizationWhat our software did to it: one record per opportunity, consistent fields, trade classification, text extracted from documents.
AI interpretationWhat an AI model wrote about it, such as a summary. Always labelled as AI.

The four things to know

Where the data comes from

The public procurement sites we read, how often we check them, what "open" means, and the limits we know about.

What NextBid changes

Merging duplicates, consistent fields, trade classification and document text extraction. Nothing that changes what the agency said.

What AI does

Where AI is used, what it receives and produces, and what it never decides for you.

What stays official

The issuing agency's notice controls. The agency decides eligibility. NextBid is independent.

Your own AI is welcome

AI agents are welcome. Your own assistants and agents may use NextBid through the API and MCP under your account. No separate agent seats. See Bring your AI and the API Terms.
